Wednesday, March 10th, 2010It is my intention that you will use this article to empower yourself to move forward with your goals and aspirations in life regardless of your current situation and challenges.”Empower yourself to move forward” what exactly does that mean? To me it means to find whatever way that works for you to improve upon your ability to achieve whatever is most important to you.You can read more about this at:

When you make the decision on a gut level, for reasons that are emotionally compelling then you are much more likely to follow thru with your decision. In other words you become empowered to make a change in your life. I remember a dad who lost access to his daughter because of his drinking during his visits with her. He was devasted. He immediately joined AA and started a life with no alcohol in it. Needless to say, he was granted access to his daughter again by the courts after proving his sobriety.
You see people can make remarkable and oftentimes difficult decisions and changes when they compel themselves to do so.
A decision to move forward in your life is often motivated by a healthy dissatisfaction with the way things are currently. Pay attention to that feeling and respond to it by telling yourself you have decided not to be this way anymore. You serve yourself notice.
Reminds me of the story about the guy who was fed up with not having enough money and driving around in a rust bucket station wagon. He came to a moment of decision, grabbed his shotgun and filled his car full of holes. I am not recommending this approach but he did punctuate his decision with definitive action. Interesting enough this man moved forward in his life from that moment on and became quite wealthy in the years to come. He reached a point of absolute disgust about the way things were in his life and made a serious commitment to change things. So can you.
It is key to confront and move past any challenges or roadblocks that arise whether they be personal, financial or health related. Examples of personal challenges are a lack of skills or knowledge or lack of confidence. Sometimes we are in unhealthy or conflictual relationships which holds us back. There are strategies and means to resolve these type of challenges which often involves the help of friends, a mentor or a professional, which can be effective sources of empowerment.
There are many resources and people on the internet to help you. You just need to ask and be open to mentoring and direction. You can overcome personal, financial, health or whatever challenges stand in your way. Mentors and professionals will educate and support you every step of the way. It is all here for the asking. http://terryasmith.com
