Seven Money Making Tips for Branding You Online

Branding yourself online is a process that takes whatever time it takes for you to get your name out there. However, here are a few tips that can speed up the process a bit:

1 - Because it is a process, you will have to be patient as you get to interact and communicate with the people who visit your site or become a subscriber. They are not likely to do business with you until they get to know,like and trust you so take the time to get to know them and what they are looking for.

2 – Focus on how you can help them. Find out where they are at in their current online efforts, what their goals are and what it is they are trying to accomplish online, and perhaps most importantly their why. What are their compelling reasons for building a business online.

3 – Get noticed in as many places as possible. Be out there, Twitter,Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube,social networks, article marketing sites etc. Be as visible as possible with your name and message.

4 – Consistently put new content out there. Blog with information that is interesting and compelling several times a week if you can, so when they visit your site they are enjoying new content and become regular visitors because of it. And ask them to leave comments about your blog post.

5 – Let them know who you are. Put up a profile of yourself with photo’s, say where you are in life, share some of your reasons for being online. Talk about some of your dreams and ask them to share theirs. Be a real person they can relate to . Let them get to know you and maybe they will feel comfortable enough to do the same.

6 – A really good way for people to get to know you is to do videos. As intimidating this might be to some folks, it is one of the most effective ways to connect with people. People are hooked on television and they would rather here and see you then read an article, although it is a good idea to have an article below summarizing your video. Also video’s tend to get ranked high with search engines which helps you get noticed even more. You Tube is currently the #1 website out there so you definitely want to tap into that market.

7 – You have to have a domain name, a name by which people will recognize you, preferably your own name or as close to it you can get. That way you are real to people and you can give your website your personality, with content that reflects who you are and what you do. And make your site user friendly, easy for them to navigate around, a fun place to visit.

So there are a few tips for branding yourself online and putting yourself out there in a way that allows you to connect with people and begin the know, like and trust process. Do this consistently and successfully and you will be a very profitable money making machine. Of course even more importantly, you will have made many new friends and colleagues who will enrich your life as you strive to enrich theirs.
